Sweet

I took this picture of a friends baby at her first birthday party. I just loved the look of the tutu and candy.  I didn't do this picture justice with this scrap, so I may do another later on.  I didn't want to over power the picture, so I tried to keep it simple, but am not happy with the overall balance..

I used Best Friends to make the frame and background paper. My Imagine was too close the shelf backing so it stopped and printed over on the same lines where the white begins above. I made a nice border for the title.  However, I do not recommend doing that to your machine.  It was just a happy accident.   The flowers are by Prima and the bottom strip was printed and cut from Echo Park's Graceful This and That found at Jessica Sprague's site.  Scrapbook.com sold huge bags of  the Prima Essential flowers on their daily special for $16.95  a bag last year. I picked up the bright and the pastel, and. I am still using them. If you ever have a chance to buy those big bags, I will say, they were definitely worth the money.

DBC Easter Egg Hunt

I am running a little behind on my scrapping for I have been Spring cleaning.  I am just now catching up on Easter Scraps. This was the group shot of all of the kids that attended the Easter Egg Hunt at church.

I used Imagine More Cards for the papers.  Sophie was used for the background doily, the photo mat and the flower. Song Bird was used for the bird on the flower. I cut three and pieced the colors together.  The title and the picture itself and it's mat were cut using Cricut Craft Room Basics. To make the bunny ears, I used the Scalloped Oval from CCR Basics and then narrowed them a bit. I used the circle and also narrowed and lengthened it to make the oval.

Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge: Hen Centerpiece

This was a centerpiece I made for the Annual  Easter Egg Hunt at our church.  The previous cross entry was used as well, but further down the table.  I liked the hen for it can be used beyond easter and through the rest of the spring months.

I made this centerpiece using various flower cuts from the Flower Shoppe and Art Philosophy Cartridges.  The base was made from Martha Stewarts Easter Printables as were its matching chick boxes.  The cone holders with baby's breath was totally lifted from another post that was made on the Circle Blog.

Twit Two Owl Bookend

I picked this embroidery file at A Stitch and a Half for only $2.50 while on sale this week.  I just found him to be too cute.

Easter Centerpiece

I made this for my church's Annual Easter Egg Hunt Party. It will reside on the food table.  I would have entered it into the Circle's weekly challenge, but I didn't want to put ric rack on it.

I first embroidered the cross using a file from www.EmbroideryLibrary.com.  I placed fabric on the back of the hoop prior to the outline stitch running so I would have a place to secure the dowel as well as cover up the back.    I then cut the bottom square box from the Sweet Treats Boxes project cartridge from Provocraft.  The title was cut on the box as well as a little circle on the bottom of the box (now the top) so the dowel could go through.  The flowers were made using Art philosophy.  I stuck the dowel in some styrofoam I had laying around the house and placed a tea light on top of it so the box would light up.
