I am preparing for the Dennyville Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt party that is yet to come. Here is a sneak peak at 12 little bunnies who are waiting for the big event.
I cut the baskets from a Silhouette Cut file. The Carrot boxes were cut at 5 1/2 inches using Tags, Bags Boxes and More. I shredded old paper in a paper shredder and sprayed it with Tattered Angels Kiwi Lime Glimmer Mist to make my own grass. Then I machine embroidered the cross bookmarks using a .hus file from Embroidery Library that I have had for years. The doily that lies underneath each basket were printed and cut from regular printer paper on the Silhouette. They are yet to be flattened out. The boxes are filled with the Hershey Eggs and take 5 eggs for each. I took an 8 inch square of white fleece and rolled it from one corner, then tied the ends together about four inches down to make the ears and then another tie about two inches down to make the head for the bunnies. I hand sewed the back of the heads to the body to make the rabbits take shape. The noses were hand cut with pink fleece and the eyes were from a package I got at Walmart. The bodies can house an egg or a Cadbury Chocolate egg, as it becomes a loop in the design.
